I have been learning to identifiy nouns, verbs and adjectives. A noun is person place or thing. I found this work interesting because I found out a lot about nouns.

I have been learning to write a persuasive speech.
A persuasive speech needs to have a introduction a point of a view , 3 reasons to back up your point of view and a conclusion.
I think I did good at this job because it wasn’t hard to write.
I found it hard to spell some of the words because they were confusing to sound out.
My next step is to use less confusing words.

Rm 29 and I went to te tuhi to do a play . When we got to te tuhi Jeremy took us to the show room to perfome our play our play was Quackey cat. when we finished. we went to a room and there was a piece of paper and pices of coulored paper and sizzors.Then we made our quacky cat picture.

- My reflection
We have been learning how to apply the pant. We learnt to techniques with dabbing a sponge and cardboard .
I found this easy to design my volcano.
I found this piece of work difficult to cut out the ash cloud and to paint the landscape.
My next step is to put more pressure on the cardboard.

This is my Dream House that I made at Te Tuhi. I found this hard to cut out all the shapes and glue the shapes in the right place. I found this easy to deisighein all the drawings. I found this piece of work intresting to create.
I have been learning to summarise and record my research into my own words.
I found summarising the information into my own words hard because some of the websites have the same info about tsunamis. I found this interesting to because I learnt alot about natural disasters.
What is a unit fraction?
A fraction where the numerator (the top number) is one.
How do fractions relate to division?
The bar (vinculum) means “divided by”.
If you look at the division symbol and a fraction, the dots represent numbers in a fraction.
Part of a family of facts:
5x2=10 10 divided by 2 = 5 ½ of 10 = 5
If you know your basic facts, then finding fractions is easy.
How did knowing Unit Fractions help us with the problem?
The red, blue and black counters - we had to find the unit fraction to know how many of each.
We are learning about unit fractions of a set.
One thing that worked for me was:
- knowing the bar means divided by
- knowing my basic facts
- turning a fraction into a division
One thing that was tricky for me was:
- when the numbers are big and I don’t know the basic facts that go with them- division facts are hard

I.A.L.T find information in a non-fiction book by skimming and scanning.
Skimming is when we read quickly over a text or a book to get an idea of what a book is about.
Scanning is when we look for specific information in a text and look for key words or phases.
I read a book about sharks.I budded with Nathan to compare our animals using venn diagram.I found this easy to choose the book because I like it.It was hard to find information because I had to turn back and forth.My next step is to find information from every page.
